Our beekeepers don't get paid for the work they do or for removing swarms of honeybees, but they give their time and incur personal expenses to provide this free service to the public.  Without them, you'd have to pay professional fees for the services of a Pest Controller to attend to your swarm - and that doesn't come cheap.
