"The children of today are the beekeepers of tomorrow"

As part of our ongoing Mission, we intend to bring beekeeping to the children of our local primary schools to educate them in the value and importance of our pollinating insects. 

 

We will achieve this through collaboration with the education authorities and agreement on a suitable approach.  It is hoped we will be able to make use of our community apiary for educational visits supplemented with classroom visits using live bees in an Observation Hive.

Where schools have an interest in establishing their own school apiary, we would be pleased to be involved and offer advice, guidance and support.
